Confession: I let a lot of people I shouldn’t take currency from my mind. The “odd something” someone said to me, that “thing” someone did to make me feel less worthy, that “level” someone else is at that I am not. All of these empty thoughts unnecessarily take up currency that I should be investing in myself, spending on my own personal journey and growth. Just like sand dollars are a precious commodity of the ocean, my thoughts are a finite resource. If taken freely by others, there will be nothing left to give to myself.
